I was raised to approach the world with curiosity and empathy, to oscillate between instinct and rational thought, to walk towards the unknown with awe.

As a designer, this translates to a passion for lateral thinking, planet-centric innovation, challenging assumptions, humanistic processes, and iterative tinkering. I feel refreshed and empowered by collaboration, especially with those who know more than I do.

I am equal parts left-brain and right-brain: fascinated by the intersection of art & science, statistics & visual aesthetics, form & function.

Résumé

Skills

I’m currently working toward a Master’s in Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (and double minored in Journalism and Art History) at Georgetown University. Through my studies, I have worked hard to cultivate an empathetic mindset, an intersectional view of the world, and a desire for lifelong learning.

  • From journalism, I learned how to ask the right questions, connect with experts, thoughtfully interview people, and translate insights into concise findings.

  • From economics, I learned the value of quantitative data and the stories it reveals. I also developed a passion for circular systems and human behavior.

  • From art history, I learned how to deeply appreciate visual aesthetics, from color to materiality, texture, and composition. I learned how to hone my senses to create tangible experiences.

Fun facts:

1) My Myers-Briggs personality type is INFJ (the Advocate inspired by deep thoughtfulness and imagination).

2) I worked on a homestead farm and love gardening, fermentation, and taking care of animals.

3) I am a massive soccer fan. My life peaked when the German National team won the 2014 World Cup.
